Join us for yoga, pranayama and ayurveda classes and workshops at our beautiful yoga studio in the Uptown/River Bend area of New Orleans. We offer led ashtanga vinyasa yoga classes, Mysore-style astanga yoga classes and other forms of hatha yoga classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. We also provide private yoga classes, pranayama (breath practice) instruction and ayurveda, an individualized approach to wellness through diet and lifestyle.

Our yoga teachers are highly trained and skilled in working with students of different ages and abilities. We also bring in leading teachers from around the world to conduct yoga workshops and classes for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners.

Our mission is to help you deepen your knowledge of yoga and pranayama, strengthen your practice, and become clearer, healthier and more balanced in all aspects of your life. A Deeper Understanding of Yoga with Certified Ashtanga Teacher Paul Dallaghan: October 15-17th

Paul DallagahanPaul is the founder and director of Yoga Thailand, where jessica has worked and trained over the years. Gaining a greater understanding of the science behind yoga through practical principles and the philosophy can lead to a deepening in one’s own practice. This workshop will focus on practice based upon integrity of posture and respecting natural functioning, encouraging balance and theorerical explanation that causes reflection and insight aiding in one’s own personal journey of yoga. Yoga Thailand Healthy Lifestyle Cookbook, by Jessica Blanchard and Paul Dallaghan

In 2004 when while at Yoga Thailand and repeatedly being told by guests how delicious the foods was, Jessica had the idea to put together a cookbook of the delicious recipes that were served at the retreat center. She spent time in the kitchen with the main cook, Su, documenting the recipes. The cookbook was very successful from the start, and has evolved into something professionally printed and beautifully photographet. It is now available on amazon.com. It is a mix of Thai, Indian and Western vegetarian recipes, extremely flavorful and healthy. July 10-24 2010, Yoga Thailand Retreat with Jessica

Yoga Thailand BeachJessica spent 2004-2007 working at the first location of Yoga Thailand. Living and working there had a profound impact on her life, especially due to the experience of truly living the yoga, delicious vegetarian food, a beautiful practice space, and a supportive environment. In order to better serve the thousands that now come from around the globe for yoga, it has grown from a small set of bungalows to a custom-built center, retaining the spirit and yogic energy. The new Yoga Thailand is a beautiful, retreat center built to welcome yoga practitioners from all over the world, and is nestled in coconut groves facing untouched beaches. Jessica returns to Yoga Thailand to teach a two week yoga retreat with lectures on Ayurveda and Nutrition. There will be a morning Mysore Style practice contact by Jessica and Paul Dallaghan, who is certified by Sri Pattabhi Jois, and is Jessica's asana teacher. Jessica will teach afternoon sessions on Ayurveda and Nutrition and lead evening programs. You will still have lots of time to relax, see the island, and try out the fantastic Thai massages.
