You’re ready to try yoga, but don’t know where to start. That’s why we have this Introductory series just for beginners!
The Ashtanga yoga system is a challenging series of postures that can be modified to suit any body. If you’ve tried the Ashtanga style but didn’t quite get the hang of it, this is a great opportunity for a fresh start.
Over the course of six weeks, you will learn:
- the safest ways to practice the most common yoga postures (no matter the style)
- the best techniques to starting–and maintaining–a home practice
- the history and development of the Ashtanga style
- a yoga practice you can do anywhere
This course will boost your confidence and bolster your resolve to attend Mysore and led Ashtanga classes. Be prepared for homework, note-taking, and enlightening conversation about this powerful practice.
Class meets every Wednesday for 6 weeks, February 25-April 1, 2015. Class time is 6-7:15pm.
