Atreya Smith and Jessica Blanchard
January 28 – February 11, 2012
About the retreat
– Understand human psychology according to Ayurveda and how to handle it.
– Deepen or ignite your yoga practice in a stunning, exotic place.
Combine a holiday with an experienced yoga teacher in a comfortable accommodation in a naturally tranquil and peaceful location.
Yoga Thailand offers swimming pool, beach access, dedicated yoga shala, delicious and healthy food with still little indulgences like Italian ice cream and healthy chocolate bars.
Yoga classes are suitable for all, from complete beginners to more experienced practitioners. There will be several levels of classes offered, guided classes for beginners and Mysore style for those familiar with Ashtanga Yoga. The morning will begin with quiet time, meditation and breathwork guided by Jessica Blanchard.
The afternoon sessions will focus on understanding the mind a little more. First sessions will look at the functioning of the mind according to Eastern medicine, then progress to treatments using breathing, mandras, diet, herbs and lifestyle. This is an amazing opportunity to study with one of the world’s leading scholars and practitioners of Ayurveda. For more information about the retreat click here.
When not taking yoga, treat yourself to a relaxing shirodhara, massage or herbal steam bath. There will also be lots of time to swim, walk on the beach, explore the island or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful place.
