GET TO KNOW THE TEACHERS OF BALANCE YOGA
I became a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist in 2008 and am certified through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IYAT). I am also certified as a Phoenix Rising Group Facilitator and Yoga Teacher. I am registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 with training at the Shambhava School of Yoga and the Phoenix Rising Center. I also hold Yoga Alliance's YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) designation. I guide deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra and restorative yoga experiences.
I have been deeply inspired by the yoga therapy teachings of Karen Hasskarl and Elissa Cobb and by Taoist Yoga taught by Wilson Pitts. I am also inspired by my yoga therapy clients, colleagues, and students on the path to self discovery.
I practice yoga and meditation for embodiment. My practice provides me more mobility and freedom in my body and also offers a way to listen deeply and compassionately to myself and others.
I love helping people tune into the wisdom of their bodies and learn to be more at home within themselves. Many people suffer with chronic pain, stress, or anxiety that can be alleviated even with very simple yogic practices. It is a joyful experience to help others relax and better understand their bodies.
