New Summer Yoga Schedule Starts May 30th

Are you wondering what to do now that the festivals are winding down?

And the summer heat and humidity make simple tasks like walking a chore?

We’ve got an abundance of new offerings to fill your time with something besides being a couch potato.

Ashtanga Program

  • Sarah Waggener joins the Ashtanga teaching team. Sarah brings years of teaching experience and a compassionate approach to teaching that you’ll love. Sarah will teach Ashtanga Mysore Style Thursdays 8:30-10am.
  • New Extended Mysore Hours! Yes, being out late is no longer an excuse for missing yoga. Because class will go from 6:30am – 10am Monday – Thursday. Sarah W. teaches 8:30am-10am Monday – Thursday; the current teachers keep their shifts from 6:30-8:30am.
  • Intro to Second Series Fridays 5-7pm two times per month with Melissa Clark and Sarah Waggener alternating. Next class Friday June 3rd with Melissa Clark. Cost $20 or $18 for members. Book here.
  • Due to popular demand – Thursday 6pm class will return to Beginners Ashtanga (changed from Mysore Style Ashtanga) with Meredith Murphy.
  • We are cancelling the Saturday 4pm Guided Ashtanga Class.

New Drop In Classes

  • $8 Drop in Vinyasa – Thursdays 7:30pm & Saturdays 4pm – All levels classes with emphasis on flow with alignment cues. Classes taught on rotation by Balance Yoga Teacher Training grads. Please help us to welcome them to the teaching community!
  • Kundalini – Wednesdays at 7:30pm, community class by donation.
  • Vinyasa – All levels – Mondays & Wednesdays at Noon with JohnMark Robbins – John’s classes marry flow with sound alignment principles. John joined our team recently after relocating to NOLA from Austin.
  • Vinyasa L2 Mondays at 7:30pm & Vinyasa All Levels Wednesdays 7:30pm with Amanda Credeur

New Series

  • Intro to ParaYoga Thursdays 7:30pm – Starts May 26th. ParaYoga provides a living link to the ancient traditions of yoga, meditation, and tantra. In this series you’ll learn how to apply the wisdom, power and capacity from the ancient traditions to positively affect all aspects of your life. 6-week series $108, 20% discount for BYW members, spaces available, book here.
