Have you ever gotten so lost in an activity that you lose track of time and place?
This is called flow—a mental state where you're full immersed. You experience focus, energy, and heightened enjoyment of the activity.
Yoga and Drawing allow you to slip into this zone of simultaneous concentration and relaxation. They are both active meditation and a contemplation practices.
When explored in tandem, yoga and drawing will take you to new realms.
Join Mikhayla Anderson and Amy Archinal, Artists and Yoga instructors , for a two-hour exploration of the yoga body in space.
They'll lead you through a series of deep, prop-supported postures— each held for 3-7 minutes. Or, you can choose to draw.
Imagine a room full of models for figure drawing practice, with 3-5 minute pose holds. Amy and Mikhayla will also share gesture drawing tips and tricks from artists throughout. All participants will have the option to switch roles halfway through the practice.
