Common Questions

Where is the studio?
We are located in Mid-City New Orleans, at 120 South Cortez Street, 1/2 block off Canal Street, across from Mandina’s restaurant and Ruby Slipper.

Where do I park?
Street parking is available on Cortez, Canal, and Cleveland Street.  We do not have designated studio parking.  There is always ample parking on Cleveland between Telemachus and Cortez Streets.  You can also park easily on Canal Street.

If you come by bike, you can lock your bike to our sign in front, or to our car port at the back of the building, behind the bamboo alley.

Can I take public transit?
Yes, we are 1/2 block from the Canal Streetcar line, at the Telemachus stop.

What should I bring/wear to class?
If you have a yoga mat, please bring it along.  We do have borrow mats if you don’t have your own.  We also offer studio towels for those humid New Orleans evenings!   You can bring your own water bottle, and we have filtered water for your to drink or refill yours.

Wear light, comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily.

What do I do when I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first class to allow you time to get settled.  First you take off your shoes and leave them in the cubby holes by the door.   If you have pre-registered, you only need to present your groupon voucher to the front desk staff, and they will purchase your yoga pass.  After that our online system manages your number of classes or days left.    Take time to relax in our Community Lounge.  We have filtered water and two bathrooms on each floor for you.  Introduce yourself to your teacher, and let her know of any injuries or other relevant information.

What do I do after class?
Drink lots of water!  If you have any questions about the class feel free to ask our teachers.  We have showers in each of our upstairs bathrooms.  Please bring your own towels & toiletries for this.

You can always call the studio at 504.309.9618 or email if you have other questions.

Hello, I would like to talk to someone about what I should sign my wife up for the prenatal yoga classes. Can I do this over the phone or do I need to come in?

HI Stewart,

You don’t need to come in, we will call you to sign your wife up. She can also do this when she comes for class on Wednesday.

Hi, I am a college freshman and bartender, who really wants to start something new. I have always wanted to try yoga because I have heard it’s great for the body and mind. I want to be level headed and learn to relax. I am new to yoga so I have absolutely no idea where to start but the company is around where I work, so I would love to try something new for a change. Please help me to get involved and where to start.

Thank you

HI Dorreal,

We have lots of options for classes. It wounds like the Intro to Yoga on Thursdays at 6pm would be great for you.

I’m new to Yoga and eager to learn. I have a hamstring injury but hoping that yoga will help with the recovery process.
