Mysore-style Ashtanga classes are for new students, advanced, those with injuries, young, old, and overweight.

Ashtanga yoga is the original form of all flow-based yoga styles – vinyasa, jivamukti, fast flow, power flow, hot yoga.  The name Mysore-style comes from the town of Mysore, India where Sri Pattabhi Jois used this unique teaching method.

You’ll practice yoga in the morning in a quiet, calm room, with a teacher who helps guide you through exactly what to do.

Learn at your own pace, to the tune of your own breath, and feel your mind become restful and energized as you move and stretch.

In the workshop we’ll break down the fundamentals.  You’ll learn the correct breathing, how to use your core (bandhas), and a basic starting sequence.  I’ll offer modifications for any physical limitation. You’ll also know exactly what to do when you come to class the first time.

You’ll be ready to join a community of diverse students and start your day with a Mysore-style Ashtanga yoga class!

Hi, I’m Jessica. I’m a yoga teacher, ayurvedic practitioner and registered dietitian. I’ve practiced yoga since 2000 with yoga greats like Sri Pattabhi Jois and Sri O.P. Tiwari. I’m no a mission to help you to feel stronger, fitter, calmer and happier, no matter where you’re starting from.
