CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

I have over 700 hours of training and am a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and a YogaAustralia Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 350). My yoga journey began in 2015 at the Ananda SanghaCenter in New Delhi, India where I studied Hatha Yoga and devotional meditation. In 2018, I trained atStretch Yoga in Brisbane, Australia under Miriam Van Doorn to gain my 350-hour certification with YogaAustralia and 200-hours with Yoga Alliance. In 2019, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training inKundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® at Swaha Yoga in New Orleans.

INSPIRATION

I turned to yoga during a time of great anxiety and found that this practice not only brought me to the present but also instilled a great sense of gratitude for being alive. The first few classes I did in India, I would always leave crying because I finally found what I had been looking for my whole life. Spirituality and a connection to the Universe and thus to myself. Yoga inspires me to be a better person and lead from my heart.

WHY I PRACTICE

I practice consistently because I truly believe that movement facilitates happiness and serves as a healing tool. By getting out of my head and connecting with my body, I am able to get back in touch with my internal sources of health and wisdom. Yoga is a spiritual practice for me and always takes me back home to my True Self without the noise of the mind and outside pressures.

WHY I TEACH

I teach because I love to. Yoga completely transformed my life and made me a more aware, joyous, and loving person. It’s both play time and a chance to keep honoring ourselves and our path. Being a human being isn’t easy (!) and by practicing yoga, we are giving ourselves the necessary time to grow, appreciate, and love all aspects of our life.My classes focus on (Pranayama) breathing techniques, accessible postures for all body types (asana),and connecting back to source. My hope is that my students leave feeling a little more grounded, connected, and loved.
